My WonderCon Experience

To take myself out of my comfort zone of shyness and quietness, I decided to go to WonderCon. I don’t normally put myself in situations with a lot of people involved, and I dressed up for one of the days with an outfit I made myself. Both these things made me completely nervous which is why I stuck with the plan and adventured to WonderCon.

After having been there, I am completely glad I went. I managed to actually hold a conversation with a few of the people that I ran across and followed through with wearing my costume (even if only one person got it).

By far my two favorite panels were the Teen Titans Go! panel and the Teen Wolf panel. Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite moments during my whole trip.

If you have never been to a Con, they are awesome and have tons of awesome merchandise in the merchant’s area. They have a lot of stuff that you won’t find in any regular store.
These are three of my favorite drawings from a panel I sat in on that was called the Quick Draw panel. It was hilarious to watch the random topics that were given to three artists and the ideas they came up with and how quickly they drew them.

While attempting to get into the Regular Show panel (which didn't happen), I ended up in the Doctor Who premiere of the new episode. I felt like a jerk though because I had never watch the show before and some died hard fan may have missed out on the chance to see the episode because I was there. The episode did make me think about changing the fact that I was not watching the show regularly.

I had to freak out a little when I seen this guy with his cookie monster outfit.
I ended up behind these two guys and just found it comical watching them walk down the street. Storm Trooper guy had a Ted stuffed animal that was dressed up as an ewok.

Something about seeing people in costumes just hanging out doing normal people stuff like waiting to cross the street or relaxing on a park bench made me giggle.
Paper Mario by far was my favorite cosplay at the convention! He always looked too funny walking around.

This is what I had to eat to feel better after not being able to get into the Adventure Time panel; even worse was the fact that I was next in line to get into the panel. Thank you Cheesecake Factory!

This guy looked so much like Robert Downey Jr. that I'm still convinced it might have been him.

These two panels made my day! Seeing Greg Cypes was amazing because he just has such an uplift and bright personality that it is infectious.

I'm still unhappy that this was at the con but you weren't allowed to sit inside of it...not cool Oblivion people...not cool.

At the end of the day, I am beyond excited to go again next year and have a better costume each year I go. This has been a great boost to my confidence. =) Plus my inner nerd was happy to nerd out for a bit!
